HIPAA COMPLIANCE
As Corporate Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a major national Behavioral Health Corporation, Attorney Elizabeth Roth was solely responsible to develop the corporate-wide HIPAA compliance plan, train employees, write HIPAA policies, conduct gap and risk analysis, draft contracts and Business Agreements, conduct all Corporate efforts toward HIPAA compliance, certify HIPAA Compliance; and legally defend its position of certification if necessary. This experience has made Attorney Roth intimately familiar with the details of HIPAA Regulations. The experience has also made her acutely aware of the difficulties encountered with implementing the internal changes required of hospitals, free standing clinics and doctor's offices and the resistance met by medical and support staff to meet compliance requirements.
Beth's nursing background and carrier experience as a psychotherapist sets her aside as an expert who can effectively communicate the legal and regulatory issues of HIPAA to medical and mental health professionals. Today she uses her experience as an Independent Legal Consultant to consult with a variety of Corporations who strive toward becoming and maintaining HIPAA Compliance. She will develop a HIPAA Compliance Program that is specific to your business operations and assist you with implementation every step of the way toward initiating and maintaining compliance.
